Hanover County Arrest Records

Hanover County arrest records are public records under theVirginia Freedom of Information Act (Va. Code § 2.2-3700). This means that government records, including arrest records, are open to the public. Hanover County arrest records may, however, be restricted when a court seals or expunges the record, when the subject is a juvenile, or when disclosure could interfere with an active investigation. A standard public arrest record within the county may contain the following information:

  • Full legal name and known aliases
  • Date of birth
  • Physical description
  • Date, time, and location of arrest
  • Name of the arresting agency
  • Charges filed at the time of arrest
  • Bail information
